Artist & Educator

Sarah Stracke is an interdisciplinary artist and educator living and working in rural Springfield, Missouri. Sarah earned her Bachelor in Art + Design Education and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2018 from Missouri State University. She continues to explore an artistic dialogue primarily through film photography and sculpture.

Her work often investigates interactions and associations between the natural landscape to self, soul, and spirit. Domestic beauty, memory, and midwestern landscape are themes which pulse through her images. Her photography often inspires the way she cultivates the viewing experience for her sculptural work.

Sarah is continually invested in cultivating the arts within her home community and manages a Makerspace in Ozark, Missouri for sharing and learning craft, food and drink, and sustainable farming and gardening practices at Finley Farms. There she coordinates teachers, plans curriculum, and engages the community in learning a craft and slowing down through making.

If you would like to get in contact with Sarah for commissions, collaborations, or to purchase a piece, please follow up via email.
